Yacht Charter Italy
Why charter a yacht in Italy?
Italy is one of Europe’s greatest treasures, with its magnificent sights, spectacular cities, fascinating old ruins and towns and its fabulous coast line and natural scenery. Italy is home to over 400 islands! This includes Sicily, Sardinia and Capri. Italy also holds many yacht friendly villages and cities such as Portofino in Genoa and Venice. These islands, cities and villages make Italy the perfect luxurious yacht holiday for you, your friends and family. Italy is a place for all!
Allow your taste buds to explore all that Italy has to offer from a food and drink perspective. Italy is extremely famous for their wide variety of pasta, heavenly pizzas and rich wine. Italy houses endless famous restaurants such as La Caravella along the Amalfi coast and Antiche Carampane in Venice.
La Caravella is a Michelin star restaurant and art gallery once hosted by Andy Warhol and is situated along the Amalfi coast in Italy, it’s gorgeous artwork, ceramics and frescos really emphasise renaissance Italy times and is the perfect restaurant for art connoisseurs.
Antiche Carampane is one of the most popular restaurants in the area – a seafood-based restaurant in the heart of Venice. Tourists describe even getting to the restaurant was a pleasant experience through all the twists and turns along the ancient streets!
Italy’s history is one of no other. Between its Ancient Roman times and its Renaissance period it all makes Italy one of the most interesting places to visit and with no shortage of tourist attractions. Maybe take a day trip to their capital city Rome before continuing your voyage through Mediterranean waters, whilst you are there you could visit the Colosseum, St Peters Basilica and the Trevi Fountain.
Italy’s Culture is strongly based on their history. The architecture from roman times is absolutely stunning. Romanesque churches and cathedrals scattered all around the place with large monuments in all the squares. Places in Italy such as Rome have a very Monochrome type of look to them, from Ancient Rome times when everything was quite simple yet grand they have the white creamish buildings and beige-brown roofs make Rome look like a cup of coffee!. Then on the other hand coastal areas such as the Amalfi coast and Portofino are both very colourful and picturesque. This honours the Renaissance past when everything was being rejuvenated after the fall of the roman empire and art and science were explored.
Do not get me started on the weather in Italy! It is to die for. The hot summer sun reflecting off of the crystal blue water is something you would not want to miss. However mainland Italy does not provide all year summer weather and can get quite cold, on the other hand, Italy’s gorgeous islands are significantly warmer and sunnier all year round. This means it is the perfect place to charter a yacht as you can go to all the different islands and explore what each one has to offer.
