Triton Submarines’ new submersibles

Triton Submarines is set to deliver a three new submersibles, two of which have never been seen before: The Triton 3300/6 and the Triton DeepView 24; as well as the second in the Triton 1650/3 LP ‘superyacht sub’ series. Additionally, they are moving forward with the new Triton 1650/7 Configurable and the Triton 7500/3 model for Project REV Ocean.

Triton 3300/6

Triton DeepView 24 is Triton’s first delivery from their DeepView series. Commissioned by an Asian client to provide unique guest experiences at a number of entertainment resorts, the Triton DeepView 100/24 conveys 24 passengers and 2 crewmembers to depths of up to 328-feet (100 meters) Designed by Paul Moorhouse and assembled at Triton’s facility in Barcelona, Spain, vast panoramic windows create a truly immersive guest experience. From the comfort of the air-conditioned interior, passengers of the 50ft 6 in (15.4m) long submersible will have views unmatched by traditional tourism submersibles. Being modular in design, the number of acrylic sections can be varied, allowing Triton to deliver models in the DeepView series to accommodate anywhere from 12 to 66 passengers.

The Triton 1650/7 Configurable is described as ‘a salon under the sea’ due to its extraordinary interior volume. While based on the Triton 3300/6 platform, the reduction of depth capacity to 1,640 feet ( 500 meters)) dramatically increases interior volumes of the Triton 1650/7 Configurable. Triton is also working with the interior designers of the host vessel to assure continuity of experience between platforms, creating a showpiece interior which matches that of the yacht in terms of styling, materials and quality. The additional volume not only creates space for an additional guest but also a flexible ‘configurable’ interior, a flexible seating arrangement which may easily and rapidly be re-configured from 7 to 5 seats, even between dives, offering more comfort and space.

Triton 7500/3 is being built for Project REV, the world’s largest research yacht. Currently under construction, the submersible will be capable of diving to an astonishing 7,500 feet (2,286 meters).

Six months ago, Triton made history with the successful completion of The Five Deeps Expedition, touching the deepest point in the world’s five oceans in a 36000/2 model.
