Sirena Yachts is on track for the launch of its flagship 88-footer
Hull # 1 of the Sirena 88 is well under way at Sirena Yachts in Turkey. This yacht with naval architecture by German Frers and interior design by Cor D. Rover is the company’s largest build to date.
The Sirena 88 is a raised pilothouse design with a five-stateroom layout. The main-deck master suite has a sitting area and fold out balcony to port. To starboard is a combination desk and dressing table. Forward, the head features distinctive windows that curve into the overhead to serve as skylights along with a walk-in double shower and private toilet compartment. This stateroom offers panoramic views through large windows.
Below deck, guest accommodations include a VIP suite amidships and a forward luxury guest cabin with private head as well as two additional en suite double guest staterooms. A full-beam crew area insulates the guest accommodations from the engine space, and provides up to four crew with a private crew mess and two cabins.
“The layout is something that we can change to meet a client’s needs,” says Tanil Surmeli, product manager for Sirena Yachts. “We are able to play dramatically with the spaces within the structural confines of this hull. As a semi-custom builder we are open to their ideas.”
The main-deck social area will have a large formal dining table with seating for ten, served by nearby galley. Aft in the salon are U-shaped and straight settees for indoor lounging. Wide doors open up to the sheltered aft deck, where there is another dining area stretching across the transom.
The beach club and swim platform are accessed via stairs port and starboard stairs from the man deck.
The flying bridge, where the upper helm is located forward to starboard, offers a social space all its own. Here a bar serves another formal dining table and aft groupings of settees surround large cocktail tables. A whirlpool spa tub is nearby. The foredeck social area will be protected from wind and ensure privacy with high bulwarks and a dipping pool is flanked by sun pad lounge areas.
Her advanced naval architecture by German Frers, enhanced by high-tech resin infusion construction and generous use of carbon fiber helps reduce weight and optimizes the vertical and longitudinal centers of gravity. The Sirena 88 can perform at both planing and displacement speeds comfortably and economically. She’s expected to have a range of 2,430 nautical miles at 9 knots.
“We have some additional layout ideas that we are going introduce,” Surmeli says.
The first Sirena 88 will make her debut at Cannes Yachting Festival, along with samples of additional layouts.
