Introducing explorer yacht Audace from Floating Life at the Monaco Yacht Show 2019
Measuring 42.8m/140ft with a beam of 9.4m/30.8ft, she offers plenty of space on board while being relatively compact for accessing narrow waterways. Her on board living solutions ensure that wherever guests travel, they take the height of luxury with them.
Launched and delivered to her Owner in January, luxury yacht AUDACE has spent the year cruising in the Mediterranean, providing her Owner with everything for living and working on board. M/Y AUDACE was entirely custom designed with input from the Owner, and features the work of Studio Sculli of Sarzana in collaboration with the shipyard, plus engineering by Sergio Cutolo/Hydro Tec.
Clients can personalise their own craft with a choice of superstructures, interior layouts and decor to suit their personality and requirements: M/Y AUDACE comes with an Owner’s deck that has a private penthouse-style apartment with its own salon and galley, all of which enjoys elevated views of the surroundings from 15m/49ft above sea level.
The Owner has complete privacy since the apartment is only accessible via stairs on the upper deck, ensuring that the outdoor terrace with Jacuzzi and outdoor seating area is kept separate from the other guests.
The main deck has a half-length open space that can be used for numerous purposes due to its flexible layout, while outside there is a large sunpad areas that conceals a 9m/29ft tender below. A bar and entertainment system make this outdoor space a desirable place for social gatherings day or night.
A practical feature is the food and beverage lift, which connects directly to the galley from the pantry below for total convenience. The welding was upgraded to ensure that up to 80% less filler was used on the hull – an eco-friendly strategy which was approved by RINA as filler is not recyclable. The main deck aft comes with two large red cranes designed to hoist up to 9 tonnes, easily moving the aft tender and forward Land Rover Defender when required.
In addition to the Owner’s suite, the accommodation provides for eight guests over four double cabins, two of which are on the main deck and two on the lower deck that have fold-down balconies for a close connection with the sea.
The sea platform on the lower deck has a 55m²/592ft² soundproofed entertainment area and a spacious kitchen for serving guests at parties.
The bottom deck is used entirely as a technical space and includes a walk-through technical tunnel that spans the length of the yacht. Cold rooms for food and wine storage are also located on this deck, along with an engine room and control room that ensure that guests have the utmost comfort on board.
The engines provide a transatlantic cruising range of 5,000 nautical miles to ensure that, when the Owner wants to cruise beyond the Mediterranean, the choice of destinations is limitless.
